IND 2214 Introduction to Architectural Interiors is the sophomore studio during the Spring semester. Focusing on fundamental interior design studio skills including ideation, concept development, programming, schematic and presentation development, this team-taught studio is the first in the sequence of interior design studios following a set of 3 introductory general design studios. Work in this class is completed by hand.

This project required students to design a residential homeless shelter for youth. The facility also included administrative offices and a coffee/sandwich shop. IND 3215 Architectural Interiors Studio I is the 5th studio in the design sequence. Typically taken during Fall of junior year, this team-taught studio requires students to incorporate predesign research and evidence-based design into studio projects. In this residential apartment in a retirement community, student designs focused on promoting health, well-being, and independence. This project was designed by Santana Cowan. IND 3215 Architectural Design Studio I taught by Dr. Nichole Campbell and Morris (Marty) Hylton III.
As part of The Village Retirement Community redesign, this project features the creation of an Enhanced Independent Living facility designed to support aging in place to better meet resident needs.
